Reloj Vase
Share
Handcrafted by Al Centro Ceramica, the Reloj takes its form from the hourglass, that quiet symbol of time passing. Wheel-thrown from locally sourced clay, its waist pulls inward then expands again, creating a silhouette that feels both ancient and completely modern. Reloj means clock in Spanish, and you feel that in the piece, there's a stillness to it that slows a room down.
The exterior is left completely raw, glazed only on the inside. No surface treatment, no added color, just the direct result of clay meeting kiln fire. The earthy tones and subtle variations you see on each piece come from the natural composition of the clays reacting to heat, which means no two Reloj vases are identical.
At 2.64 lbs it has real weight and presence. A natural vessel for dried botanicals, pampas, or a single long branch. Just as striking left completely empty.
